Gadget: 5 Reasons Why I Like Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus

Being a techie guy, I can't tell you that I will stay faithful to one mobile phone brand for long. I always have the urge to try new phones with latest features available in the market. I guess it's my curiosity nature, always want to explore.

The most recent change was from Samsung S8 to iPhone 7 and now I jumped to Android ship again. This time round I changed to Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus Global ROM and I immediately in love with it. This mid-range phone has everything I need and putting the price factor aside, it packs with awesome features. In this post, I will share with you 5 reasons why I like this phone in a very layman's way, nothing fancy but just pure own thoughts, after using for about 2 weeks.

1. Beautiful 5.99 inch with 18:9 ratio 2160x1080 Screen

When I read online readers' opinions about the screen, I just couldn't believe it. I wondered how can a mid-range has such a beautiful screen, until I got one myself. No joke, the screen is crispy clear which makes watching videos and reading (my favourite) a great pleasure. I'm personally not a fan of vivid contrasty screen like Samsung AMOLED screen, this is perfect for me. It doesn't make my eyes uncomfortable. The screen is as good as iPhone 7 screen. Very comfortable!

2. Powerful 4000mAh Li-Po Battery

I must admit this is the first phone I use with a big battery capacity.

I'm not a hard core phone user and given that I've just removed my social media accounts lately, I only use the phone for reading mostly, WhatsApp, browsing, YouTube with around 3-5 videos a day, listening to music, the battery can easily last for 2 days. This is super convenient, don't need to look for charging point or bringing an extra powerbank now.

3. Decent Camera

I do understand there are many who mentioned about the camera which is rather mediocre.

However, I find it pretty decent for me. The camera takes a fair good amount of details and the color is accurate. You can find the photo samples at below:-

4. MIUI Stable Rom

I've been using MIUI Rom since HTC HD2 era, about 7-8 years ago? I always love MIUI rom. It's stable, not laggy, you can do a lot of customization such as installing themes and fonts.

So far, it doesn't give me any software issue. Everything is indeed stable.

5. Miscellaneous: Finger Print, Loud Speaker, Dual Sim Card Supported

There are many things I like about this phone.

The Fingerprint is super blazing accurate and fast. Speaker is quite loud and not forgetting to mention, it has built-in equalizer for earphone, I enjoy listening to the music with my custom equalizer setting so far.

Another thing that is worth to mention is it supports dual sim card. This makes my life so easy especially I own a Singapore and Malaysia sim card. I no longer need to swap the card manually now :)

If you're looking for a good mid-range phone, please do not hesitate to include this phone in the list. I can guarantee that you'll like the phone. Haha!👍
