Gadget: Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus Google Camera VS Stock Camera

After using Google Camera (GCam) app on my Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, I must say I am deeply in love with GCam especially the powerful HDR+ and Lens Blur functions. The HDR+ really help in taking sharper picture with accurate color.

My friend asked me to compare the GCam and Stock camera apple to apple. Hence, I took some time out of the weekend to take some photos using these 2 different Camera. I didn't do any editing work on these photos and the size is actual 4:3 ratio (4000x3000).

As you can see from the photo comparison, Google Camera photos tend me more punchy in color, images are sharper unlike the stock camera has lots of soft edges. All in all, I am super happy with GCam performance and it will be my daily driver for camera. :)
